The formation of this group is a follow on from the ATA Melbourne Project Night in July, in which interest was expressed in the Arduino microcontroller board. People were primarily interested in practical applications, rather than programming for its own sake. For example, how the board could be used to log sensor data, control power switches, motors, etc. in a variety of members' personal projects.
At the first workshop on Aug 14, there was interest in having future meetings (on an ad hoc basis at least) and in identifying some common projects to help people learn what's possible and share development effort.
The aim of this blog site, in conjunction with the mailing list, is to communicate ideas, info and facilitate development of common projects.
